In this role, you will contribute in building the next generation of our Advanced Power Metering products such as the ION9000 and PM8000.

What will you do?
As an Embedded Firmware Designer, you will work closely with developers, testers, and engineering professionals to design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for advanced metering products.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality features, improving system performance, and ensuring product reliability and security.
Key responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for real-time systems
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, break down, and implement new features and enhancements
* Develop and execute functional and automated test strategies to ensure product quality
* Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and risk analysis related to safety, cybersecurity, and reliability
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize firmware performance
* Contribute to continuous integration and DevOps tooling to improve team efficiency
* Support product validation and ongoing improvements across the product lifecycle
What qualifications will make you successful in this role?
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
* 2-3 years of industry experience in embedded firmware development
* Strong programming skills in C/C++; experience with Python is an asset
* Experience with debugging embedded systems and working with hardware
