Registered Nurse III MC/CHC Per Diem - CHC Women's Health Clinic

The Riverside University Health System's (RUHS), Community Health Centers is currently seeking for an experienced Registered Nurse III MC/CHC for the Women's Health Clinic located at the Medical and Surgical Center in the city of Moreno Valley.

This is a P er Diem position.
The Registered Nurse III - MC/CHC - Per Diem is the advanced journey level classification in the Registered Nurse - MC/CHC - Per Diem series and reports to an appropriate supervisory or manager level position.

Incumbents perform nursing duties while applying advanced knowledge and skills in providing care and service to patients with more complex problems and needs within assigned unit(s).

Incumbents responsibilities are expanded to include participation in activities relating to quality assurance, policy and procedure review/revision, in-service education, staff development and preceptorship.

The ideal candidate will possess at least one (1) of experience in a Labor and Delivery and/or Antepartum setting.

Candidates should have experience intepreting fetal heart monitoring tracings, recognizing changes in fetal status, and initiating appropiate interventions when necessary.

Strong clinical assessment and labor triage skills are highly desirable.

Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Certifications Required:


* A current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.


* A current and valid AWOHNN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification


* Certificate of Didactic Mastery in Limited Obstetric (OB) Ultrasound must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.

Work Schedule: 5/40, Monday to Friday, Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Per Diem working as needed during clinic operating hours

Per Diem personnel are distinguished from regular employees in that they receive additional compensation in lieu of County fringe benefits and work assignments are flexibly scheduled or on an as needed basis.
