Reimbursement Specialist

Work Schedule:
This is a part time, 0.5 FTE position.

This is a hybrid position with monthly onsite requirements at 7974 UW Health Ct in Madison, WI.

Qualified candidates should be able to work 4 hours per day Monday-Friday.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

This will be discussed further in the interview.

We are seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to:


* Process transplant claims, payments, adjustments, refunds, denials, and unpaid insurance balances.


* Follow up with third party payers and patients on outstanding account balances (including credit balances) to facilitate prompt resolution of outstanding account balances.


* Verify patient coverage information and update registration as required.

Qualifications


* High School Diploma or equivalent Required


* Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field Preferred

Work Experience


* 2 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or clinic operations role Required


* Epic experience


* Three years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle, specific to area of expertise (I.e.

transplant, research, or client billing)
