Job Description:

The Director, will provide significant contribution to the accounting function for Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

This role will have full responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate filing of Form 10-Q and Form10-K, provide support to IR team during earnings process, Security Analyst Meeting and all other external filing with SEC.

This position will work closely with EY, IR, GBU finance teams, corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax and others as necessary to ensure timely and accurate SEC filings.

The Director will communicate and drive adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies.

Success in this area depends upon a unique combination of a strong knowledge of US GAAP, familiarity with SEC reporting guidelines, strong writing skills, and an eagerness to understand HPE's business operations.

The role requires engagement with our external auditors E&Y, Legal, Corporate FP&A, Close Reporting, and our partners in the business and Corporate functions.

This role is based at our HQ in Spring, TX.

Education and Experience Required:


* Bachelor's degree with a focus in accounting, finance, business, accounting (e.g., CPA (or equivalent), MBA) preferred.


* 12+ years of experience in a finance function.

Big four public accounting experience is a plus.


* Experience with technology industry and international companies preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:


* Strong understanding of accounting principles under US GAAP.

Technical knowledge on Contract Manufacturing Agreements, Product Financing Arrangements, Vendor Rebates, Standard Costing, Excess & Obsolescence reserves


* Experience in researching and interpreting complex technical accounting and financial reporting issues.


* Excellent project management skills

* Self-starter who is able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a dynamic environment.
