Waste Water Supervisor

Essential Responsibilities: 


* Supervise daily wastewater treatment operations to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant performance


* Lead and support wastewater operators, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance feedback


* Ensure wastewater from production processes is properly managed, treated, and discharged according to permit and regulatory requirements


* Monitor system performance and make operational adjustments as needed to maintain compliance and efficiency


* Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to wastewater operations and environmental compliance


* Coordinate closely with Production, Maintenance, and EHS teams to support uninterrupted plant operations


* Perform routine wastewater testing and monitoring to ensure system performance stays within required limits


* Collect and review samples as required and coordinate with internal or external laboratories for testing and reporting


* Respond to operational issues or system upsets and take timely corrective action to restore normal conditions


* Support environmental inspections, audits, and reporting requirements as needed


* Ensure equipment and treatment systems are functioning properly and communicate maintenance needs


* Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure all team members follow safety policies and procedures


* Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and cost savings where applicable

Position Requirements: 


* High school diploma or equivalent required


* 3+ years of experience in wastewater operations or industrial plant environments preferably in a food manufacturing, dairy, or other industrial production environments


* Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred


* Experience working with production or utility systems in a plant setting


* Basic understanding of environmental regulations and wastewater compliance requirements


* Strong communication and team leadership skills


* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to operational issues quickly
