As a Senior Lead Software Engineer - Windows Server Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector Compute Infrastructure Platform (CIP) organization, you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding software, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines.
You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
* Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022/2025) across physical, virtual and Container environments.
* Develop and maintain automation scripts for server provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
* Develop automation for creating and deploying images for Physical and virtual machines
* Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and initiatives.
* Applies deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies focused on analyzing complex data and systems, anticipating issues, and finding ways to mitigate risk
* Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
* Manages software engineering in accordance with business requirements' could be a suitable replacement
* Drives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, incident/root-cause analysis), while establishing measurable validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
* Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale.
* Drives results and implements multiple complex programs
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Formal training or certification on Software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
* Advanced knowledge of distributed systems running either Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server and the underlying hardware and hypervisors
* Extensive experience of one or more areas of software engineering such as networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
