• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, or not less than 14 years' experience within aerospace industry in trade compliance.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in international trade compliance.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S.
person status.
ITAR defines U.S.
person as an U.S.
Citizen, U.S.
Permanent Resident (i.e.
'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Trade compliance experience in the Aerospace industry
• Complete working knowledge of all US Compliance Rules and Regulations.
Knowledge of BIS, DTC, OFAC and all other related trade legislation, rules, and regulations.
• Experience in implementing compliance processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Export Management System process controls
• Working knowledge of Anti-Boycott Compliance.
• Experience in interacting with senior level management and all levels of employees.This position is responsible to ensure that the HOWMET ENGINES Business Unit and all associated locations of the HOWMET ENGINES BU are in full compliance with the import and export laws of the countries where they do business, in a manner that is consistent with Company values.
Compliance with trade regulations will be achieved through a centralized framework including classification, certification, verification of import/export activities, and training of local staff.
