Position Summary

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

You will collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, individualized care.
Key Responsibilities


* Perform evaluations within 24 hours (or 1 business day) of referral


* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans


* Provide therapy for communication, cognition, and dysphagia


* Supervise SLP Assistants (if applicable) in accordance with state practice guidelines


* Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment as needed


* Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation


* Participate in care plans, rehab meetings, and discharge planning


* Provide staff education and in-service training


* Serve as a clinical resource and mentor (including CFY support if applicable)

Qualifications


* Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology


* Active, unencumbered SLP license in South Carolina (required)


* Must meet all state and federal requirements for clinical practice


* Maintain continuing education and good standing with the State Board


* Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred


* Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred


* Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills
