Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
* Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans based on functional needs and goals
* Provide occupational therapy services to improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs)
* Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies
* Assess cognitive, physical, and functional abilities to maximize patient outcomes
* Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
* Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs
* Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team conferences
* Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications when appropriate
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
* Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
Qualifications
* Current California Occupational Therapist (OT) License required
* Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
* Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
* Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
* Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
