Used Parts Manager
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position manages the Construction Division Used Parts Operation in a manner which ensures maximum benefit for the dealership.
Coordinates activities and cooperates with all departments and sources outside the dealership to best serve the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Reports to the Raleigh Parts Manager, Construction Division
* Manages and directs the Used Parts operations throughout the territory, including the purchase of inventory and sale of parts, in a manner to produce acceptable return on assets and customer satisfaction.
* Manages Used Parts inventory in a manner to maximize profitability and market share.
Maintain proper levels of inventory to meet turnover objectives.
* Develops and implements marketing and promotional plans, annual objectives and budget.
* Responsible for achieving agreed upon performance goals and meeting deadlines on all assignments as requested by management in your area of departmental responsibility.
* Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates for direct reporting positions.
* Orients and trains new associate to his/her job role, safety awareness and other company standards.
* Implements performance reviews for all direct reporting associates.
* Conducts counseling and progressive disciplining activities to improve performance and/or behavior when necessary.
* Performs all termination discharges for voluntary and involuntary reasons.
* Responsible for accountability in the areas of purchasing, shipping, receiving, and facilities.
* Responsible for all supplier invoices, freight invoices, manually generated Caterpillar invoices and credits being promptly coded and forwarded to Accounts Payable.
* Maintains a clean and orderly appearance of the office, warehouse and yard.
* Responsible for updating all vendors files to include key contact associates and telephone numbers.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
Education :
College degree in business or a mechanical related discipline; or high school diploma with at least five years parts related work experience
and at least two years group leader responsibilities.

This position may require unconventional hours and limited travel.
Other :
* Good customer skills, high energy, stamina and MS Office computer expertise.
