As an Employment Counsel on the Consumer & Community Bank Legal team, you will oversee a diverse docket of employment cases at various stages, from threatened litigation through trial, across multiple jurisdictions and forums.

You will investigate allegations, manage outside counsel, provide strategic risk assessments, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the firm.

This role offers the opportunity to become a trusted advisor, delivering legal counsel and strategic advice on employment law matters, preparing and reviewing Human Resources policies and agreements, and collaborating with Human Resources and other colleagues on cross-business workforce projects.

Job Responsibilities:


* Manage a docket of employment cases from pre-litigation through hearing/trial in various jurisdictions and forums


* Investigate allegations and oversee outside counsel in employment litigation matters


* Serve as a trusted advisor and advance the firm's people strategy by providing strategic legal counsel, risk assessments, and litigation management to internal stakeholders


* Handle labor and employment issues including performance management, employee discipline, termination, severance, and workplace investigations


* Counsel on wage and hour issues, workplace accommodations, incentive pay, and protection of intellectual property and confidential information


* Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as an effective influencer within the firm
