Reconciliation Services Operations Specialist II

As a Reconciliation Services Operations Specialist II in the Reconciliation Services Operations team, you will be responsible for performing moderately complex reconciliations on assigned accounts, requiring a basic understanding of accounting concepts and routine decision-making.
You will obtain a comprehensive understanding of account operations, research outstanding items, and communicate with management and clearing partners to resolve issues.
Your role demands excellent attention to detail, adaptability to changing needs, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while ensuring adherence to corporate policies.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform moderately complex reconciliations on assigned accounts, requiring a basic understanding of accounting concepts.
* Make routine decisions and determine appropriate courses of action for account management.
* Obtain a comprehensive understanding of assigned accounts, including operations impacting the account and transaction flow.
* Research outstanding items for assigned accounts and process clearing entries where appropriate.
* Communicate effectively with departmental management, business partners, and external vendors to resolve outstanding items.
* Identify and escalate problem items, trends, and exceptions to clearing standards in a timely manner.
* Participate in project activities and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as assigned.
* Ensure adherence to Corporate Accounting and departmental policies and procedures.
* Maintain excellent attention to detail and concern for all aspects of the job.
* Adapt to changing needs and deadlines, remaining calm under pressure.
* Evaluate and analyze data from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks without compromising service quality.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
* Basic understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
* Experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
* Strong analytical skills for evaluating and analyzing data from multiple sources.
* High School diploma, some college, or equivalent experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, utilizing advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make routine decisions.
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
