Summary
The individual at this position should be an action orientated person with a strong background in China Import and Export.
The individual should be able to drive process improvements, projects in key risk areas, provide oversight and act as technical expert for the projects involved, and manage the Customs related activities.
You will:
1.
Act as the Point of Contact (POC) for Export Control and Licensing from trade compliance team
2, Partner with global trade compliance SME and legal, to review and determine the export licensing requirements based on the various factors including but not limited to jurisdiction, classification and other details of the transactions
3.
Provide trade compliance related requirements & knowledge to the project on rules and regulations in China Customs:
* Export Control & licensing requirements
* Import and export documentation requirements.
* Complete Knowledge in relation to import, export and other relevant rules and documentation.
4.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to secure the required export licenses on a timely basis.
Monitor license application status and work with brokers, providers, and stakeholders to resolve possible situations of delay or other issues as they arise
5.
Identify potential export control & compliance improvement opportunities, and proactively work with the countries to implement these opportunities
6.
Implement Export control related policy, procedures and internal controls
7.
Broker management and KPI review
8.
Assist GTC with other special projects and assignments as needed

Essential Requirements
1.
Education: Graduate degree required; advanced degree in business, preferred.
2.
Experience: minimal of 5 years in Export Control & compliance experience in a major corporation, or Consultancy firm.
3.
The ability to function both as a team and individual player with the ability to shift priorities as required by the global trade compliance team and business operations.
