What You’ll Do

As a Fiber Technician, you will provide complete, neat, and accurate fiber optic cable splicing and performance testing. In this role, you will prepare and splice all modes of fiber, conduct performance testing, and assist the engineering department with design and material coordination.

You will also be responsible for locating cables, assisting with hot cuts, updating plant records, and coordinating contract job schedules directly with customers.

Additionally, this position requires participating in an after-hours on-call rotation and maintaining strict compliance with all company safety standards and driving protocols.  

What You'll Bring


* Commitment to Safety: A strong dedication to maintaining a safe environment -both physically and mentally -for yourself, your colleagues, and customers


* Experience: 1+ years of fiber splicing and 1+ years of installing, repairing, and disconnecting communication services


* Licenses: Valid Class D Driver's License with a driver rating above "unacceptable"


* Knowledge of Operations: Understanding of telecommunications network structures, construction maps, and fiber optic theory


* Skills: Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and proficient computer operation 


* Dependable, motivated, accurate, and able to work calmly and independently or with a multi-location team

Bonus points if you have:


* 2 year degree in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 

Your Schedule 

Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM

Location 

This position can be located in Perham, or Melrose, MN.
