Position Summary

As a Dietary Aide, you will support the dietary team in meal preparation and service while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.

Your role is essential in ensuring residents receive quality meals that meet their dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities


* Set up and serve meal trays based on dietary guidelines


* Assist with meal service and food preparation


* Clear trays, wash dishes, and operate the dishwasher


* Monitor and record dishwasher temperature and sanitation levels


* Prepare snacks and nourishments for residents


* Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dining areas


* Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and equipment


* Store food and supplies safely and properly


* Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout shift


* Follow all food safety and infection control procedures


* Support the cook and dietary supervisor as needed

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler's Certification


* Experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred


* Ability to learn food service routines quickly


* Strong teamwork and communication skills


* Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
