Whitney Oaks Care Center is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team!

As an Activities Assistant, you'll help plan, organize, and lead engaging programs that enrich the lives of our residents and promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

What You'll Do


* Assist with planning and implementing daily activities, events, and outings


* Encourage resident participation and engagement in group and individual activities


* Help decorate for holidays, special events, and themed programs


* Transport residents to and from activities as needed


* Build positive relationships with residents and their families


* Assist with maintaining activity calendars and documentation


* Support residents' emotional, social, cognitive, and physical well-being


* Create a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Previous experience in activities, recreation, customer service, caregiving, or senior care is a plus


* Compassionate, patient, and positive attitude


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills


* Creative, energetic, and dependable


* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team


* Experience working with seniors or individuals with dementia is a plus
