Director of Operations & Supply Chain

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations & Supply Chain who will have full accountability for end-to-end operational, financial, and customer performance of the Houston site.

This role owns site-level P&L execution and balance sheet efficiency, including forecasting, margins, inventory management, and working capital performance.

The Director leads manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer fulfillment to ensure safe, compliant, on-time, and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.

The successful candidate will operate in a high-mix, low-volume environment with both standard platforms and engineered-to-order solutions, driving continuous improvement while supporting new product introductions and evolving product mix across Core and growth segments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site P&L & Operational Performance


* Own site-level P&L including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, forecast accuracy, and working capital optimization across inventory, A/R, and A/P.


* Drive on-time delivery performance, lead-time reduction, and productivity improvement.

Operations & Supply Chain


* Lead manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer fulfillment in a shared facility environment.


* Own the operational customer experience, from quote through delivery and issue resolution.


* Manage domestic and international supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance.


* Leverage analytics and automation to drive daily management and operational KPIs.

Continuous Improvement & Growth Readiness


* Lead Lean/CI initiatives; partner with Engineering on process improvement and NPD launch readiness.


* Adapt operations to evolving product mix and support inorganic growth integration as applicable.

People & Organization


* Build and develop high-performing teams; own talent development, succession planning, and performance management.

Compliance


* Ensure compliance with all corporate, regulatory, and EHS requirements.

Travel


* 10-15% travel may be required.

LEADERSHIP:

Reporting Structure & Organizational Leadership


* Direct reports include Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Quality Leader, and Customer Service Manager with scope to scale as business growth and complexity require.


* Dotted-line partnership with Finance, Sales, Engineering, and HR.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


* Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in supply chain and/or engineering.


* 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations required.


* Supply chain and operations experience within industrial manufacturing required; valve, flow control, or engineered-to-order products preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:


* Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing a site-level P&L, including gross margin, EBITDA, and working capital optimization.
