What are we looking for?

The Field Quality Supervisor will be responsible to provide regional field-based technical supervision in support of the Houston-based TIS team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the routine and non-routine oversight, monitoring and auditing of company's Technical Specialists, attendance and participation in selected/strategic pre-inspection meetings, technical engagement with both client and supplier personnel, where appropriate, and lead investigations in the field on client complaints.

Shift/Schedule: This is a Regular, Full Time position working at least 40 hours per week.

What you'll do:


* Provide regular supervision, oversight, auditing and monitoring of field-based Technical Specialists on both an announced and un-announced basis to ensure quality and integrity of services


* Oversee field-based Technical Specialist for select pre-inspection meetings (PIM's), inspections or critical testing as directed by the Technical Manager


* Lead the technical support required by the sales and business development teams with regional field perspective on technical information for large or important bids and tenders


* Execute internal or external quality investigations and provide corrective action training to Technical Specialists as required


* Engage with clients in the region to promote Intertek capabilities and provide them with technical support and insight on quality related Item


* Lead the rollout and implementation of new or strategic initiatives such as eReporting in your region


* Conduct technical interviews with potential candidates to determine whether they possess the skills and technical knowledge necessary to work as a Technical Specialist for Intertek


* Identify and monitor the disciplines and competencies of Technical Specialists to ensure Intertek and client expectations are met and exceeded


* Mentor less senior technical staff and perform other work, as required


* Complete billable work for clients, as required
