The County of Riverside's District Attorney's Office is seeking to fill a Legal Support Assistant I/II to support the Clerical Division in Indio.

The Legal Support Assistant I/II (LSA I/II) provides secretarial and clerical support to attorneys and other County staff within the Office of the District Attorney.

This role is responsible for scheduling appointments, screening callers, and initiating responses to routine correspondence.

Additionally, the LSA I/II maintains files containing correspondence and legal documents, compiles a variety of reports by locating sources of information and determining the proper format for completed reports, converts general information into the appropriate legal form, and composes legal papers and completes legal documents for which general forms are available.

Competitive candidates will possess experience preparing, reviewing, processing, and/or abstracting information from legal, court, or commercial documents.

Candidates will have clerical or legal support experience within a government or law enforcement setting, such as a District Attorney's Office, Probation Department, or Sheriff's Office.

Competitive candidates will demonstrate experience managing electronic and/or physical legal records, including filing legal documents with the appropriate courts, maintaining and updating court calendars, and processing case-related records such as pleas, trials, convictions, acquittals, sentences, judgments, orders, and other case dispositions.
