Our Georgia-Pacific Madison, GA facility is now hiring immediately a qualified candidate who demonstrates strong ownership, reliability, and collaboration in a manufacturing environment to join our team as a Maintenance Millwright.

We are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

For this role, we anticipate paying $30.00 - $36.00 per hour.

This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.

What You Will Do


* Maintain strict adherence to all safety, environmental, and PPE requirements while working in an industrial manufacturing environment


* Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment for improved reliability and uptime


* Assist co-workers and work effectively in a team environment


* Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the facility


* Effectively communicate work performed and equipment status, both verbally and in writing


* Help meet or exceed production waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program


* Read and understand work instructions


* Conduct maintenance in accordance with scheduled maintenance requirements


* Work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments


* Demonstrate leadership skills; be a self-starter requiring little or no supervision and show the ability and willingness to train others


* Perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping), with or without reasonable accommodation

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Experience troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps


* Experience installing, aligning, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing industrial equipment


* Experience with fabrication, welding, and cutting torch


* Experience operating hoisting and lifting devices


* Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, and gearboxes


* Experience with precision alignment of motors and couplings


* Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and/or hydraulic schematics

What Will Put You Ahead


* A minimum of 2 years of mechanical and technical training


* A minimum of 6 months experience working in a wood mill environment
