What You'll Do

As a Speech Language Pathologist at The Pines at Placerville, you will:


* Evaluate residents to determine speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy needs


* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans


* Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams


* Educate residents and caregivers on aspiration prevention, communication strategies, and maintenance programs


* Participate in care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and utilization reviews


* Maintain accurate and compliant documentation


* Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFY) and students as applicable


* Assist with staff education and restorative nursing training


* Help residents maximize independence, safety, and quality of life

Qualifications


* Current California Speech Language Pathologist License


* New grads encouraged to apply


* Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred


* CPR Certification if required by licensure


* Strong communication and teamwork skills


* Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred


* Familiarity with Net Health and Point Click Care is a plus
