Responsibilities


* Reporting to the General Manager & Regional Sales Manager, the Event Coordinator is responsible for the full on-site execution of all events at the hotel.


* The position requires strong supervisory ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage high-pressure, client-facing environments with professionalism and reliability


* Deliver exceptional on-site management of events to include set up, ceremony management, reception management, and event breakdown


* Execute event timelines with precision and professionalism


* Serve as the primary point of contact for The otel Salem for outside vendors & guests


* Oversee the management of beverage service to ensure quality, compliance, and smooth operations


* Supervise event staff and ensure all set-up, service, and breakdown standards are met


* Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time to maintain event flow and client satisfaction



* Meet with the management team prior to review timelines, logistics, staffing plans, and operational expectations


* Participate in pre-event briefings to ensure full alignment on execution details


* Communicate proactively regarding any anticipated operational needs or concerns prior to the event


* Demonstrates accountability and follow-through


* Consistently punctual and prepared


* Efficiently manages time and resources to meet deadlines
