Supervisor, Quality - 2nd Shift - Clayton, IN

2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

As the Supervisor, Quality you will establish, implement and maintain the processes for the Quality Management System (QMS).

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Execute the QMS according to documented policies and procedures, meeting the requirements of the applicable international quality standards


* Review the QMS at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness, including assessing opportunities for improvement and the need for system changes


* Provide high-level reporting on the performance of the system and any recommendations for improvement


* Serve as the site audit authority for all internal and external company audits


* Post all company quality policies and address policy training to make sure it is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels


* Ensure that facility/departmental training, status and setup is reviewed at the required frequency and that the training requirements are met in a timely manner


* Execute corrective and preventive actions, including initiation and recommendation of solutions, and project management; verify solution has been implemented until defect has been corrected


* Implement quality initiatives at facilities as required

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


* 2 years of relevant work experience


* Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment


* Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It'd be great if you also have:


* Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field


* 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience


* Bilingual English/Spanish


* Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment


* Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience


* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); material handling equipment and storage medium, distribution and inventory management; ERP systems, LEAN warehousing, ISO, QMS and meeting facilitation


* Knowledge of OSHA, Environmental Health and Safety, and Material Safety Data Sheets regulations and compliance


* Ability to generate quality metrics and reports

This job requires the ability to:


* Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights


* Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time


* Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel



* Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
