Electronics Specialist (2nd or 3rd Shift)

Job Summary:

Electronics Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and technical support of process instrumentation and control systems throughout the manufacturing and testing of night vision products.

Job Responsibilities:


* Good mechanical and strong electrical aptitude, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly required by a diverse and extensive amount of electronic control systems within the facility.


* Knowledgeable of a wide array of industrial technologies, including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum technology, and control systems.


* Able to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals


* PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting


* Industrial computer and various ISA/PCI bus troubleshooting and repair


* Troubleshoot to the component level for the full spectrum of analog, digital, RF, optical, and industrial control systems.

Must be able to make component-level repairs to address non-operational control systems.


* Utilize test equipment (DVM, Oscilloscopes, Frequency Generator, computer-based, etc.) appropriate to testing objective.


* Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing, product quality assurance, and facilities equipment systems


* Perform complete electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance services


* Monitor inventory of equipment spare parts; be able to effectively locate replacement parts from a variety of web-based sources.


* Experience using various hand and power tools, multi-meters, leak detectors, electronic or computerized test systems, etc.

Qualifications:

Required:


* Associate's degree or its equivalent in troubleshooting electronic equipment.


* Thorough knowledge of electronic circuitry, schematics, troubleshooting, and safety practices.


* Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Preferred:


* Experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, and temperature controls.


* Two (2) years of industrial electronics background.


* Proficiency in soldering
