Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Laborer Foreman, assists skilled trades' personnel by performing a variety of routine manual tasks.
Mixes concrete, mortar and plaster.
Screens sand and rock.
Erects scaffolds and loads scaffolds with material.
Digs, excavates, back fills, and grades dirt.
Demolishes concrete, drywall, masonry, and plaster.
Carries, wheels or delivers by truck various construction materials to work sites.
Maintain equipment such as cement, concrete, and mortar mixers, hand and power tools, and wheelbarrows.
Perform general set-up and clean-up duties at work sites before and after daily work activity.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Possession of a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D) Certificate is required.
* One (1) year of full-time work experience performing manual labor is required.
* Possession of a valid Driver's License - Class "C" or higher is required.
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
Candidates who are selected to fill safety-sensitive positions must pass a required drug test as part of the pre-employment background check process.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
* Ability to perform manual labor of a physical nature.
* Familiarity with and the ability to use various hand held and power operated tools which include but is not limited to shovels, picks, chain saws, etc.
* Ability to maintain equipment such as cement, concrete and mortar mixers, hand and power tools and wheel barrows.
* Ability to operate motor vehicles such as vans, stake-body truck or boom trucks.
