Maintenance Planner

Your Job

Georgia Pacific's Naheola Mill is seeking (2) Maintenance Planners to support mechanical planning in (1) the Pulp Mill Operations and Wood Yard and (1) in the Utilities Department.

Reporting to the Maintenance Planner Leader for the mill's back-end, these roles work closely with the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, the E&I Planner, hourly mechanics, and other maintenance and operations personnel to ensure efficient and coordinated maintenance activities.

What You Will Do



* Assess job hazards, required materials, and permit needs to ensure a safe work environment


* Create standardized work orders for routine tasks


* Assist with evaluating and updating preventive maintenance asset strategies


* Audit completed jobs for accuracy and identify improvement opportunities


* Attend priority, planning, outage coordination, and schedule review meetings


* Participate in root cause analyses to boost equipment reliability


* Manage and coordinate contracted maintenance services


* Produce precision maintenance documentation for internal and external teams


* Keep equipment inventories and bills of materials up to date


* Plan and execute small-scale maintenance projects


* Rotate weekend on-call duty


* Work extended hours and weekends as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Three (3) or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment OR Five (5) or more years of operational experience in a paper processing environment


* One (1) or more years of experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

What Will Put You Ahead



* Experience with SAP and/or Passport


* Experience with Wood Pulping equipment


* Experience with hydraulic and vacuum pump systems


* Experience with continuous and batch digesting equipment


* Experience with rotating equipment
