Job Summary

P rovides logistical support and administrative assistance to one or more supervisors or professional staff members.

Handles routine business situations, problems and questions of procedure in the work of the office according to general instructions, priorities, policies and program goals.

Acts as team leader for a small, localized or specialized group of other clerical support personnel.

Coordinates the distribution of work, and delivery of services.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications



* High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Certificate is required.


* Two (2) years of full-time clerical/administrative work experience is required.

Candidates who are contacted will be required to produce original required documents (e.g., current driver's license, diploma, school transcript, certifications, etc.) listed on the Notice of Job Opportunity within five (5) days of being extended an offer, in writing, by the Bureau Chief of BHR (or designee).

Candidates will be notified of how to submit required documents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications.

Proficiency in the use and application of basic mathematical skills and calculations relative to office bookkeeping and statistical records.

Good attention to detail, ability to proof, verify and edit complex data, transcribe and cross reference data from databases and documents.

Ability to follow-up in a thorough and timely manner on assignments and unresolved business.
