Field Safety Engineer – U.S. Digital Buildings

The Field Safety Engineer provides specialized safety leadership for electrical field service and construction activities within the U.S.

Digital Buildings organization, based in New Jersey.

This role ensures compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, state regulations, and Schneider Electric safety standards while supporting field teams through training, hazard analysis, incident management, and on-site safety oversight.

The position partners closely with Operations and the North America Safety, Environment, and Real Estate (SERE) organization to strengthen safety culture, enhance compliance, and reduce operational risk.

Travel Requirements: This role requires significant travel within the New Jersey service area (50-75%) and occasional travel outside the state for training, meetings, and additional support.

A valid driver's license is required.

Key Responsibilities:



* Serve as the Safety Champion for the New Jersey location.


* Support the development, implementation, and training of safety and environmental programs in alignment with regulatory and company requirements.


* Assist in the creation and execution of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).


* Oversee and support Field Safety Audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.


* Deliver and facilitate safety training across topics such as Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and Safe Driving practices.


* Lead and support incident management processes, including investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.


* Enforce and standardize PPE compliance in alignment with U.S.

Digital Buildings requirements.


* Provide guidance on Method of Procedures (MOPs) related to product safety considerations.


* Review and support updates to safety policies and procedures.


* Develop and coordinate monthly safety topics and participate in safety meetings.


* Partner with SERE teams to drive consistent safety practices across regions.


* Plan and deliver annual safety training programs.


* Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.


* Coordinate emergency response planning and drills.


* Support and help lead Safety Committees as needed.


* Assist with customer safety pre-qualification processes and manage third-party safety platform requirements (e.g., DISA, Avetta, ISNetworld).

This position reports to the Digital Buildings Safety Manager and supports all disciplines under their leadership, with close collaboration across Operations and SERE.

For this U.S.

based position, the expected compensation range is $73,000 - $90,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
