Software QA Engineer I

This role will be reported to the Manager of Software QA of Digital Strategy.

The QA Software Engineer will work primarily cross-functionally with development, design, and content teams to maintain and improve quality assurance processes.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:


* Develop and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and e-commerce applications.


* Perform functional, regression, integration, and accessibility testing across digital properties.


* Perform database validation using SQL queries.


* Perform API testing using tools like SOAP and Postman.


* Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to identify and resolve defects.


* Utilize enterprise QA practices and tools to ensure consistent quality standards.


* Track and manage defects using Azure DevOps.


* Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies.

Qualifications:


* Hands-on experience in software quality assurance for web and mobile applications.


* Familiarity with product management tools like Azure DevOps.


* Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.


* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


* Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Certifications:


* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred, but equivalent experience highly valued.

Nice to have:


* Experience in cable/broadband industry.


* Experience in SQL Queries


* Familiarity with APIs and tools like Postman


* Knowledge of mobile application testing and e-commerce optimization.


* Knowledge in W3C WCAG Guidelines
