Job Opportunity: Director of Marketing & Public Relations

Location: Oakland, CA

Facility: McClure Post-Acute

Compensation: Starting at $110,000/year

About the Role

Are you a strategic communicator with a passion for healthcare and community engagement? McClure Post-Acute is seeking a dynamic Director of Marketing & Public Relations to lead our facility's outreach, brand strategy, and census development.

In this pivotal role, you will be the "voice" of our facility, building vital relationships with families, civic leaders, and the media.

You will work closely with the Administrator to ensure our programs are effectively shared with the community while maintaining a warm, patient-centered atmosphere within our halls.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


* Strategic Growth: Plan and direct marketing programs to maintain and increase facility census.


* Brand Stewardship: Ensure all brochures, digital materials, and public information packets are accurate and up to date.


* Community Engagement: Represent the facility in civic groups and charitable activities; coordinate with news media to share positive developments and new programs.


* Policy Management: Develop and maintain policies regarding the release of information in accordance with current privacy rules and regulations (HIPAA).


* Internal Culture: Lead internal communications (newsletters, announcements) and assist in developing resident programs and social services publications.


* Budgeting: Prepare and manage the departmental operating budget in collaboration with the facility Administrator.


* Leadership: Provide creative support and guidance to department directors to ensure all staff understand their role in these programs.

Qualifications


* Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.


* Experience: Candidates with 5+ years of marketing/public relations experience specifically in a healthcare setting may be considered in lieu of a degree.


* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.


* Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build rapport with diverse groups, including government agencies, residents, and staff.

Physical & Work Environment


* Position involves prolonged use of a computer and occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 lbs.


* Comfortable working in a skilled nursing environment with a low-to-moderate noise level.


* Must be prepared to assist in resident evacuation during emergency situations.
