Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, with call requirements

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Perioperative Services team in Austell, Georgia.

Schedule & Requirement Highlights


* Monday–Friday schedule


* Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM


* On‑call rotation required


* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Key Responsibilities

Perioperative Patient Care


* Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care using the full nursing process


* Provide safe, evidence‑based care tailored to surgical patient populations


* Partner with patients and families through pre‑, intra‑, and post‑operative phases


* Ensure adherence to surgical safety standards, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements

Teamwork & Collaboration


* Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary care teams


* Coordinate and document care to support efficient OR flow and optimal patient outcomes


* Promote a respectful, inclusive, and professional surgical environment


* Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and shared governance activities

Quality, Safety & Performance Improvement


* Support performance improvement, research utilization, and evidence‑based practice


* Uphold Joint Commission patient safety goals and safety absolutes


* Contribute to protocol development, value analysis, and quality initiatives

Professional Development & Leadership


* Maintain required competencies and complete mandatory education


* Serve as a preceptor and mentor to nurses, staff, and students as appropriate


* Model professional nursing practice in alignment with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act


* Support recruitment, retention, and development of perioperative staff

Required Qualifications

Education


* Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma (Required)


* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Preferred)

Licensure & Certifications (Required upon Hire)


* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia single‑state or Compact / Multistate)


* BLS – Basic Life Support


* ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support


* PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
