Job Overview

We are seeking a Part‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join a specialized unit focused on the care of adult patients with Cystic Fibrosis, while also supporting acute care overflow.

This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to care for a complex, chronic patient population in a collaborative acute care environment.

Nurses are supported as frontline caregivers and clinical partners, practicing in a culture that values compassion, clinical excellence, shared governance, and professional growth.

Unit Highlights


* 23‑bed medical–surgical unit


* Specializes in adult Cystic Fibrosis care and acute care overflow


* Telemetry monitoring


* Nurse‑to‑patient ratio not to exceed 1:6


* 2–3 Care Partners/CNAs and 1 Unit Clerk per shift


* Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and consistent support staffing

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Care Coordination


* Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions


* Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans


* Apply independent clinical judgment to support short‑ and long‑term patient outcomes


* Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care


* Prioritize patient flow and overall patient experience


* Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, changes in condition, interventions, patient education, and outcomes

Patient Advocacy & Experience


* Serve as a liaison between patients, families, providers, and care teams


* Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans


* Respond to patient and family concerns in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner


* Promote patient‑ and family‑centered care while maintaining confidentiality standards

Quality, Improvement & Professional Practice


* Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives


* Contribute ideas to enhance workflows, care delivery, and patient outcomes


* Maintain professional competence through required training and continuing education


* Seek opportunities for professional growth and leadership development


* Mentor and support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment

Required Qualifications

Education


* Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure & Certifications (Required upon Hire)


* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or Multistate Compact)


* BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA or equivalent; Instructor accepted)
