Registered Nurse (RN) –  Acute Care Medicine – Day Shift

Job Overview

We are seeking a Full‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join Acute Care Medicine on behalf of our client This day shift RN opportunity supports adult patients with a broad range of medical conditions, offering a dynamic environment focused on safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Care Coordination


* Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions in an acute care setting


* Assist with care planning and take appropriate action to support short‑ and long‑term patient outcomes


* Deliver individualized nursing care using independent clinical judgment


* Collaborate and communicate care plans with physicians and interdisciplinary teams


* Prioritize daily patient flow and patient experience


* Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, changes in condition, care delivered, patient education, and outcomes

Patient Advocacy & Experience


* Serve as a liaison between patients, families, providers, and care teams


* Respond to patient and family concerns in a timely, supportive manner


* Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans


* Promote patient‑ and family‑centered care while maintaining confidentiality standards

Quality, Improvement & Professional Practice


* Participate in performance and quality improvement initiatives


* Contribute ideas to improve workflows, processes, and patient outcomes


* Maintain professional competence through required training and education


* Seek opportunities for professional growth and leadership development


* Mentor and precept other nurses as appropriate


* Support shared governance through council participation or sponsored activities


* Adhere to all system policies, standards of work, and code of conduct

Staffing & Support Structure


* Typically staffed with 7 Registered Nurses per shift


* Nurse‑to‑patient ratio averages 1:5–6, supporting safe, high‑quality care


* 3–4 Care Partners provide direct patient support


* Leadership team includes 1 Nurse Manager, 2 Assistant Nurse Managers, and 1 Clinical Outcomes Manager


* Additional support includes 2 Mobility Technicians and 1 dedicated Phlebotomist (5:00 a.m.

– 5:00 p.m.)

This unit emphasizes teamwork, efficient patient flow, and strong clinical decision‑making, creating a supportive environment for both patient care excellence and nurse professional development.

Required Qualifications

Education


* Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) (Required)
