Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Pulmonary | Full-Time Day Shift |

Location: Atlanta, GA

Schedule: Full-Time | Days | 3×12-hour shifts

Job Overview

A Major Acute-Care Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Acute Pulmonary Unit.

This full-time, day-shift RN role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, evidence-based clinical environment within Georgia’s most integrated health system.

Key Responsibilities

As an RN on the Acute Pulmonary unit, you will:

Patient Care & Clinical Practice


* Deliver safe, individualized, evidence-based nursing care using the full nursing process


* Provide relationship-based, patient- and family-centered care


* Practice in accordance with ANA standards and the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act


* Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Collaboration & Teamwork


* Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and shared governance councils


* Promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment


* Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Professional Development


* Complete all required competencies and continuing education


* Serve as a preceptor or mentor to nurses, students, and staff


* Support research, evidence-based practice, and performance improvement efforts

Resource Management


* Assist with care coordination across the continuum


* Promote efficient use of clinical resources


* Participate in protocol and workflow development to reduce readmissions and adverse events

Qualifications

Education


* Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma (required)


* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred

Licensure & Certifications


* Active RN License (Georgia or RN Compact)


* BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross)

Experience


* New graduates welcome


* Direct patient care experience preferred

* Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
