Park Maintenance Worker - Parks (Lake Skinner)
The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District is seeking to fill two Park Maintenance Worker - Parks vacancies to support Lake Skinner.
The facility is located at 37701 Warren Rd.
Winchester, CA, 92596.
The Park Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the maintenance and repair of parks, recreational facilities, equipment, and motor vehicles, as well as other related tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities include responding to and completing repair requests involving plumbing, irrigation, carpentry, and other general maintenance needs at Lake Skinner and surrounding parks, depending on departmental needs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in grounds maintenance, particularly in parks, campgrounds, or similar natural environments.
Competitive candidates will possess experience in:
* Plumbing, irrigation systems, weed abatement, and basic electrical maintenance
* Basic vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance techniques
* Operation and maintenance of splash pad or aquatic facility systems (AFO certification preferred but not required)
* Operation of tractors or similar equipment for grounds and lawn maintenance
Work Schedule
* 5 days, 40 hours a week (weekends will be part of the regular schedule)
* Hours will vary depending on department needs and special events
* Must be willing to work holidays and some evening events
The Park Maintenance Worker - Parks is the first professional level classification and reports to an appropriate supervisory or manager level position.
This classification is characterized by its primary function to the performance of buildings and grounds maintenance duties.
Incumbents may occasionally perform public contact duties such as answering questions of park users regarding District facilities and informing users of park rules and regulations.
