Dietary Aide - Part Time

Position Summary

Moraga Post Acute is looking for a dependable and motivated Dietary Aide to support our dietary team.

In this role, you will help ensure residents receive well-balanced, appetizing meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining environment.

Key Responsibilities


* Assist with meal preparation and service according to dietary guidelines and resident needs


* Prepare trays, deliver meals, and provide feeding assistance when required


* Follow portion control standards and specialized diet plans (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium)


* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment


* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in a timely manner


* Stock supplies and assist with inventory management


* Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures


* Provide courteous and professional service to residents and staff


* Support special events and in-house catering as needed

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Prior experience in food service or a healthcare setting is a plus


* Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices


* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment


* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


* Effective communication and teamwork abilities


* Compassionate, service-oriented approach to resident care
