What you'll achieve

In UDS we build enterprise-grade, massively scalable storage systems - clustered, high-performance, and resilient.

Our portfolio includes a multi-petabyte S3 object store and a scale-out NAS platform.

We're a modern, scrum-based engineering org that ships with high velocity and quality, using the best tools, hardware and development practices.

As a Software Engineer you will work on innovative solutions using new and current technologies.

You will work as part of a scrum team to design and implement capabilities, often spanning multiple components.

You will:


* Work on all aspects of software development life cycle: planning, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.


* Collaborate with product owners, architects and other engineers to define and implement technical solutions


* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback


* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack

Here's what we are looking for with this role:

Essential Requirements


* Solid programming skills with 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in C, C++, Java or Python


* Good analytical debugging & problem solving skills


* Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively work within a scrum team and collaborate effectively in a global Agile/Scrum environment

Desirable Requirements


* Experience in a performance engineering or SRE role


* Experience in filesystem/ distributed systems


* Familiarity with systems/storage including protocol behaviour (NFS/SMB/S3), networking, kernel/filesystem queues, caching


* Ability to use ML/AI for anomaly detection, pattern matching, RAG over use case history, agent orchestration
