Roaming Maintenance Tech - West Metro Area

Ready to take your maintenance career on the road? Sand Property Maintenance is hiring a skilled Roaming Maintenance Technician to support our communities in the West Metro area.

What You’ll Do



* Respond quickly and professionally to resident work orders


* Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and more


* Complete unit turns and keep properties in top condition


* Assist with snow removal and light exterior repairs (siding, roofing, concrete)


* Maintain curb appeal and grounds


* Keep inventory organized and well‑stocked


* Participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours emergencies


* Communicate clearly with Property Managers and leadership

What You Bring



* 2–5 years of maintenance experience


* Strong skills in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and HVAC


* Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of systems (appliances, boilers, furnaces, irrigation, etc.)


* Professional communication and computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Yardi)


* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks


* Valid Class D driver’s license and clean driving record


* Ability to pass a drug test, physical, and background check


* High school diploma or GED

Preferred: Property maintenance experience, CPO certification (or willingness to obtain), MN State Special Engineer Boilers license (within 3 months of hire)

 This role primarily supports two communities in Maple Grove and one in Plymouth, which will make up the majority of day‑to‑day work.

As a roaming position, the technician may occasionally assist at other Twin Cities properties as operational needs change.
