As a Logistics Specialist (export/import) at DHL Global Forwarding, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the ocean import/export process for all shipments (LCL & FCL).

You will work closely with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient export/import operations, compliance with regulations, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:


* Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end ocean import/export process for all shipments, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all import/export activities.


* Collaborate with customers to obtain shipping instructions, documentation, and necessary information for customs clearance and export compliance.


* Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and other service providers to secure bookings, monitor shipment status, and resolve any transportation-related issues.


* Prepare and submit import/export documentation, including bill of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


* Coordinate with customs brokers and agents to facilitate smooth customs clearance and ensure adherence to export regulations and requirements.


* Track and monitor shipment milestones, providing timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.


* Proactively address and resolve any operational issues or exceptions that may arise during the export process.


* Ensure accurate and timely data entry in relevant systems and maintain proper documentation for record-keeping purposes.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and operations, to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.


* Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and best practices in ocean freight forwarding and customs compliance

Skills / Requirements:


* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain, logistics, or international trade is a plus.


* Proven experience (2-3 years) in ocean freight forwarding, specifically in import and/or export operations.


* In-depth knowledge of export regulations, customs compliance, and documentation requirements.


* Strong understanding of ocean carriers, freight forwarding, and international trade practices.


* CW1 experience is an advantage.
