IS Security Specialist

The Vancouver Clinic is hiring a high-performing IS Security Analyst to lead advanced security monitoring, incident response, and blue team operations.

This role focuses on strategic Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) for the M365 platform, ensuring security configurations align with industry frameworks and organizational standards.

The Analyst will leverage the Cybersecurity Kill Chain to detect and remediate enterprise threats.

Technical mastery is required across Network Perimeter Defense, Endpoint Detection (EDR/XDR), Data Governance, and Email Security Gateways.

The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive Risk Assessments and internal audits to ensure continuous compliance.

Experience with industry-leading Next-Gen Firewalls, Cloud Productivity Suites, and Advanced Analytics platforms is essential to protecting our clinical environment.

Pay range starts at $110,434.00 and goes up based on evaluation of experience.

Working Conditions:


* This position requires participation in an on-call rotation for incident response as necessary.


* Position may require occasional evening or weekend work during critical incidents or security assessments.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven experience in administering security controls in an organization

• BA/BS in related field or equivalent in education and experience such as CISSP certification

• Experience performing security risk analysis and compliance assessments

• Experience analyzing/investigating information security incidents from reporting platforms such IPS/IDS, NAC, DLP, SIEM, and vulnerability monitoring systems.

• Experience with common security industry and audit standards, such as NIST 800 series, PCI-DSS

• Experience or familiarity with next generation security platforms, endpoint protection life cycle management tool experience i.e.

Sophos, Mimecast, Varonis, Palo Alto, MS365 is a plus.

• Experience in leading incident response for security and privacy incidents.

• Experience developing Information Security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures

Additional Information: This position will transition to an off-site work schedule upon completion of the training period and meeting the requirements for working off-site.

This requires an employee to live in the local Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR area and have a secure home network with minimum upload (5 mbps) and download speeds (25 mbps).
