Job Summary

Provides administrative and project support to staff within the assigned bureau/department, performing entry level tasks that support daily operations and program activities.

Assists with day-to-day operations, completes routine administrative tasks, and contributes to projects to support efficient department functioning.

*This is a 7-week temporary full-time position from Monday, June 22, 2026 through Friday, August 7, 2026

* Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a high school student is required.

• Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of hire is required.

Candidates who are contacted will be required to produce original required documents (e.g., current driver's license, diploma, school transcript, certifications, etc.) listed on the Notice of Job Opportunity within five (5) days of being extended an offer, in writing, by the Bureau Chief of BHR (or designee).

Candidates will be notified of how to submit required documents.



*Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks.

• Knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, or Google Workspace).

• Possession of strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

• Skill in exercising sound judgment and ability to use discretion and tact relative to problems or situations involving staff, other offices/agencies, and the general public.

• Ability to work a minimum of 60 hours or up to 120 hours during the summer break.

• Ability to obtain parent or legal guardian permission to participate in the program.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
