Senior Mechanical Designer

Qualified candidates for this position will be highly motivated individuals that are interested in product offer standardization, new product development and supporting special requests for customer solutions.

This position will require the designer to support a team of 6 engineers.

This individual is to be a part of a fast-paced team, the Data Center Solutions Custom Engineering Team.

Our team definition is, "Exceed customer expectations by providing innovative engineering solutions in the data center market."

The primary job responsibility is creating unique optimized designs.

This typically includes creating multiple versions of the same architecture.

The role will also include supporting urgent part design needs, creating drawings, and supporting manufacturing plants with part design questions.

The role will also include time for innovative exploration.

Job Qualifications

+ 3+ years of experience with Schneider Electric in an designer role
+ Experience and product knowledge with PZ-4, QED-6 and QED-2
+ Minimal travel, up to 10%
+ Good work ethic and able to perform with minimal supervision at times (remain productive)
+ Highly Collaborative
+ Demonstrate ability to take high level direction from engineers and create complex and efficient designs
+ Proficiency in CREO 3D Modeling as well as SEEXP is required
+ Familiarity of manufacturing BOM's
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools
+ Knowledge of any of Schneider's plethora of other processes is a plus.

These include; SAP, CODA, ACE, Autocad, TalentLink, etc.
