Senior GM - Logistics Planning & Optimization

Reporting to Global Modeling and Network Design VP, the Modeling and Strategy Sr Manager leads advanced supply chain, network, and strategic analytics initiatives to support enterprise-level decision making.

The role combines deep quantitative modeling expertise with strong strategic problem-solving skills to shape long-term supply chain direction and influence senior leadership decisions globally.

This role requires the maturity to independently lead complex, cross-regional initiatives, frame ambiguous business problems, and convert analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Modeling & Analytics:

- Lead end-to-end global modeling initiatives across network design, footprint strategy, capacity planning, flow optimization, and cost-to-serve

- Design, develop, and deploy advanced quantitative models (optimization, simulation, scenario analysis)

- Translate complex business questions into structured modeling approaches with clear assumptions and constraints

- Ensure robustness, scalability, documentation, and governance of models

Strategy & Decision Support:

- Support long-term supply chain and operations strategy through scenario evaluation and trade-off analysis

- Integrate financial, service, risk, and operational dimensions into decision frameworks

- Present executive-ready insights and recommendations

Stakeholder & Capability Leadership:

- Act as a thought partner to senior leaders across Supply Chain, Strategy, and Operations

- Influence decision-making through insight and structured thinking

- Coach junior team members and set analytical standards

- Bring external best practices to elevate team capability

Required Skills & Experience
- 8-12 years of experience in supply chain modeling, analytics, consulting, or strategy roles

- Strong hands-on experience with Supply Chain Guru for network design and strategic modeling (mandatory)

- Strong expertise in optimization and/or simulation modeling

- Proven ability to apply modeling to strategic business decisions

- Proficiency in tools such as Python, SQL, R, AnyLogic, Gurobi, or CPLEX

- Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain economics

- Experience in matrixed, multi-regional environments

- Strong structured thinking and executive communication skills
Preferred / Nice to Have
- MBA or equivalent from a Tier-1 business school

- Experience in top-tier management or strategy consulting

- Exposure to executive decision forums and transformation programs

- Experience in a global analytics or COE environment

- People or project leadership experience
