PROJECT ASSOCIATE

Intertek is searching for a Project Associate (temporary contract) to join our Chemicals Group team in our Mississauga, Ontario office.

This position is a fixed-term role running from May 1 to July 31, 2026.

The Project Associate is responsible for providing effective and competent office support to the Chemicals Group in a safe, legal, and ethical manner.

What you’ll do:


* Maintain project management spreadsheets


* Ensure logs are updated and PMs/Scientific Staff are aware of changes


* Maintain and communicate technical staff workload


* Maintain the Chemicals database.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

Education and Experience:


* Associate Degree or higher.


* Minimum 3-4 years experience in an office environment.


* Experience with Client communications.

Competencies:



* Strong organizational skills (time management).


* Team player with ability to multi-task.


* Advanced Executive skills, e.g., letter writing, grammar, spelling, etc.


* Able to work with Windows software.


* Knowledge of Outlook/Word/Excel/Adobe/Sharepoint.


* Very detail oriented with high quality standards and ability to establish priorities.


* Knowledge of office equipment, i.e., printers, etc.


* Possesses good judgment and works independently.


* Interpersonal skills both oral and written.

Advanced organizational skills.


* Ability to self-monitor and edit own work and that of others.

Salary Information

The base wage for this position is $15.00-$20.00 hourly.

Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
