Inventory Control Analyst
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of U.S.
manufacturing plant and distribution center inventories, including fixed assets.
This role is ideal for a detail oriented, analytical professional who enjoys working with inventory data and continuous process improvement in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Daily review of finished goods inventory transactions
* Monthly/quarterly batch materials physical inventory
* Coordinate the annual physical inventory of plant fixed assets and provide corporate accounting with all necessary inventory reporting
* Report all fixed asset transactions to include transfers and dispositions; apply property tag identifications to newly acquired assets
* Maintain records retention inventory and dispose of records as appropriate
* Responsible for identifying the root cause of all inventory adjustments
* Maintain inventory balances plus journal activity for refractory and precious metal inventories
* Monthly closing responsibilities including journal entries and account reconciliations
* Standard costing of new items and subcontractor work orders
* Monthly calculation of cycle count accuracy
* Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements as required.
* Assist in completing our annual audit with a focus on cycle counts and inventory related tests
* Other job duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business or supply chain preferred; or equivalent experience
* One to three years’ experience in accounting, supply chain or a related field
* Strong foundation with Microsoft Office Products (primarily Excel); ability to learn/manipulate systems quickly
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
* Preferred knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP experience
* Perform well under pressure, manage multiple assignments and able to prioritize tasks
* Travel on occasion, less than 10% annually
