Regional Energy Buyer

What will you do:


* Acquire and maintain expertise in specified natural gas and electric power markets.


* Initiate needed RFP processes for clients


* Assist in investigating, identifying, and providing impact assessments of pertinent market information.


* Perform analysis of supplier bids to determine appropriate pricing products for clients.


* Participate in negotiations for supply terms and prices with supplier base.


* Draft and deliver recommendations to clients.


* Implement client-approved energy strategies by directly coordinating with customers to achieve desired outcomes.


* Participate in calls with stakeholders to address market-specific topics and strategies.


* Micro commodity research (utility switch rules, etc).


* Maintain historical pricing for assigned geographic areas.

What will make you successful:


* Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.


* Proficient in computer technology especially Microsoft Office Products.


* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.


* Proven track record of providing excellent customer service internally and externally.

Strong presentation skills

Qualifications:


* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


* Minimum 1-4 years procurement experience preferred; energy procurement experience in either gas or electricity, or equivalent professional experience in procuring a relatively volatile good or commodity a plus.


* Must be able to identify, analyze and comprehend information from numerous sources, and communicate pertinent information to internal and external stake holders.


* Ability to lead customers towards making decisions on high value energy purchases.


* Work well on teams, within and outside of function.


* High commitment to company vision and values.


* Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis.
