EHS Specialist

Join our dynamic team as an Environmental Health & Safety Professional and make a meaningful impact on workplace safety and environmental sustainability!


* Help with implementation and maintaining the EHS programs & management system.


* Monitor compliance with EHS programs by conducting regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and root-cause analyses to identify potential risks and ensure that corrective action is taken.


* Assist in performing routine EHS inspections and evaluations.


* Maintain records related to safety programs.


* Aid in safety training, including new hire orientation training.


* Investigate injuries, near misses, conditions, and incidents to discover root causes and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.


* Assist with the implementation of the ergonomic plan at the facility to help identify methods to prevent musculoskeletal disorders injuries.


* Participate in the plantwide safety/ergonomics teams.


* Order EHS supplies, PPE supplies and manage the PPE vending program.


* Actively seek and propose new methods or technologies to enhance workplace safety and efficiency.


* Aid in the development of the waste management program to improve waste reduction and improve sustainability initiatives.


* Work with production and management to foster a safety culture and address concerns.

Competencies:


* Bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience).


* 3-5 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing/construction environment.


* Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.


* Understanding of ergonomics and methods to prevent musculoskeletal disorders injuries.


* Experience in facilitating in-house training programs.


* Experience conducting accident and incident investigations.
