Facilities Technician

SALARY RANGE: $24.00 - $26.75

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The Facilities Technician, under general supervision, is responsible for maintaining the bank’s buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and professional environment for customers and employees.

This role supports day-to-day operations by performing routine maintenance, coordinating repairs, and responding to facility-related issues across all GRB locations. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


* Ensuring that people within all GRB buildings are safe, secure and comfortable.


* Take a proactive approach toward maintenance and safety.


* Maintain the integrity of GRB’s equipment and physical infrastructure.
+ Equipment includes: mechanical; electrical; plumbing assets; fire/life safety; appliances; physical security and outdoor assets.
+ Infrastructure includes: grounds maintenance; janitorial services; wall, ceiling and floor repair and external structure repair.


* Perform general maintenance and repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and minor carpentry.


* Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to the Senior Facilities Technician.


* Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner.


* Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.


* Maintain building systems such as heating, cooling, security, and fire safety equipment.


* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and bank policies.


* Assist with branch openings, renovations, and relocations as needed.


* Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment.


* Oversight of supply procurement for the bank and maintaining proper levels of inventory.


* Document work performed and maintain maintenance logs and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

High school diploma or GED, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance and/or building operations, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.


* Technical or trade certification preferred.


* 2–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related field.


* Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices.


* Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.


* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.


* Principles and practices for providing high level of customer service.


* Modern office practices, methods, and computer skills.


* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations.
