Engineering Technician II (2nd Shift)

Job Description

Assists in operation of manufacturing process systems and the maintenance thereof; Implements cost reduction opportunities (yield and productivity improvements, waste elimination); Works with and trains bargaining unit employees to improve work processes and product quality; Works to minimize or eliminate safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity problems; Uses hand and machine tools, precision gauges, test instruments, and process equipment; Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


* Ability to obtain Security Clearance


* Associate degree in Science, Electronics, or equivalent OR at least 2 years of relevant work experience


* Effective communication and documentation skills


* Experience in training individuals


* Ability to handle multiple high priorities; comfort with ambiguity


* Must possess basic MS Office skills; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint…

Preferred Skills:


* Experience with various forms of deposition processes (e-beam evaporation, sputtering) and wet etching processes


* Experience writing MS Access queries


* Proficiency with statistical analysis software; Minitab, JMP, SAS…


* Ability to collaborate with all facets of the Night Vision organization


* Comfortable with self-initiating business and professional improvements


* Ability to support the organizational culture and build morale
