Receiving Inspector (Temp to Hire)

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND DUTIES:


* Place incoming material into Arrived Status in MRP system.


* Confirm part quantity matches PO quantity.


* Inspect parts to Engineering documents standards and specifications.


* Receive purchase orders into the MRP system once parts are verified as acceptable.


* Will learn to complete First Article Inspections as required.


* Will learn to complete NCR's for non-conforming material.


* Work priorities when notified to support customer and/or production needs.


* Work with Quality Manager and Quality Analyst as needed.


* Help with or complete special projects at the discretion of the Quality Manager.

Education and Experience:


* 2 years experience in Receiving and Inspection of manufactured and purchased parts with the ability to learn receiving inspection.


* High School diploma or GED required.


* Minimum 2 years experience in the use of general metrology equipment found in a light engineering environment (includes height gauges, verniers, calipers etc.).


* MS Office experience required and working knowledge of MRP system, IFS is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:


* Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills; written, oral, and inter-personal.


* Knowledge of the valve, casting, machining, and PCB industry is a plus.


* Ability to operate Powered Industrial Trucks and pass certification.


* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


* Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.


* Ability to communicate fluently in English.
